INTRODUCTION
The phenomenon of depigmentation in our country, even if it is not as old as the world, has been practiced for several years. The causes underlying this practice are numerous and diverse. For many in Africa, having fair skin remains a standard of beauty. They vary from one environment to another. Complexly, black women and men engage in depigmentation despite the health risks. The fact that some African women want to change the color of their skin opts to use products with serious consequences for health. We therefore decided and made the firm resolution to inform our sisters about the dangers these practices present. But, what is depigmentation? Why is it evil? What are the causes and consequences? So many questions that we will try to answer through this presentation.
I. DEFINITION
Depigmentation is a discoloration of the skin. In certain areas, the skin has less or no melanin, the skin's natural pigments. The causes can be numerous. They are sometimes of genetic origin, but are most often acquired.
